HP launches Garage 2.0 in Singapore for startups

On October 6, HP reaffirmed its commitment to Singapore’s innovation ecosystem with the launch of Garage 2.0. The first-of-its-kind in Asia, Garage 2.0 empowers startups through providing customer exposure, business and technology thought leadership mentors, go-to-market support, and opportunities with HP channel partners and enterprise networks.

Garage 2.0 reflects HP’s journey from its early experience with manufacturing in Singapore in 1970, to a dedicated innovation space for outcomes from smart manufacturing and R&D to have an impact on global manufacturing. The initiative is also a space where “Made in Singapore” innovations will be fostered, and is aligned to key national objectives on AI, digital transformation and smart nation building, with HP being a key player in shaping the future of work.

The first cohort of 10 startups includes AdaptiveX, Addlly, AIPath, Menlo (Jan.ai), Pints.ai, Sprouts.ai, Techpay.ai, and Wubble, all fueled by AI, in different domains such as agentic AI, ethical music generation, and accessible digital offerings. They will benefit from HP’s expertise, networks and connections with other ecosystem enablers such as Antler and the Economic Development Board Singapore.

HP Garage 2.0 goes beyond just an incubation centre. It is a strategic innovation centre, with a mission to accelerate the commercialisation of AI technologies into everyday uses. By integrating startups with HP’s global value chain, the programme will allow startups to quickly prototype, test and deploy solutions in areas such as education, enterprise software and digital inclusion.

Partnering with Antler gives HP Garage 2.0 access to global talent and finance, and working with governmental players and industry leaders adds technical credibility and regulatory legitimacy, building a strong support ecosystem for scale. With ecosystem in mind, HP Garage 2.0 aligns with HP’s mission of inclusive innovation, with AI and sustainable technology development as fundamental components of building Singapore’s future.
