The Vivo X200 FE is one of 2025’s most compelling compact phones – and I’ve got to say that this tiny smartphone (weighing just 186g) is packed with quite a lot of technology! As someone who enjoys playing around with smartphones and cameras, I like how this phone intelligently balances between being a small compact device and one that provides a great amount of cameras and technology for some of the most stunning imagery.
Rear cameras

On its back, the X200 FE houses an impressive triple-camera setup — a 50MP ZEISS main camera with Sony IMX921 sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS), 50MP ZEISS super telephoto camera with Sony IMX882 sensor for high-quality zoom and portraits and an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera for landscapes and group shots. Co-engineered with ZEISS, the system excels in rendering colours, detail, and contrast.

Similarly, the camera software is also able to identify what you’re shooting. The AI imaging engine is able to identify scenes — including food — that helps heighten textures and tones for insta-worthy images.
Meanwhile, the ring LED flash on the rear ensures reliable, natural lighting, working seamlessly with intelligent exposure algorithms to deliver balanced, shadow-free images — straight from the viewfinder.
The X200 FE introduces a Micro Movie Mode, an intuitive tool that helps stitch together short cinematic clips complete with some templates, transitions and effects. This means video storytelling no longer requires a full editing suite — your smartphone camera app becomes a pocket-sized director, ready to publish content in minutes.
Front cameras
Taking centre-stage is definitely the X200 FE’’s 50MP wide-angle front camera which features f/2.0 aperture, advanced auto focus and enhanced detection that delivers selfies which are saturated with lots of detail and colour. Its wide-angle lens is more than just ensuring that everyone’s in the shot, but it beautifully captures all the surrounding elements as well, bringing more depth to something that ordinarily seems like a regular selfie.
In addition, the X200 FE leverages AI-powered fill light and dual aura lights to keep faces clear and flattering, even under challenging lighting. Vivo utilises software and display optimisation to minimise noise and preserve natural tones that provides clearly lit shots even in dark settings. On my first use of using the selfie in dark settings, I was surprised by the amount of light that reflected off my face when the dual aura lights were activated. But the results were outstanding — clear selfie with lots of elements captured within.

The left image above was taken using a selfie mode of another smartphone using the wide angle while the right image was taken using the X200 FE. The wide angle lens of the X200 FE captured more (including the black item on the edge) and the front lighting (activated automatically) provides a clearer and brighter image.
Other features
The X200 FE isn’t only about imaging — the rest of its hardware keeps up with flagship standards: The display features 6.31″ LTPO AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 5000 nits brightness, ensuring visibility under any condition. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, this tough phone is paired with up to 12GB RAM for quick multitasking and a huge 6,500mAh cell with 90W fast charging (albeit only with its charger), delivering both longevity and convenience.
While its microphones capture clear, balanced audio for casual vlogging and daily use, I’m not sure if the X200 FE is positioned as a professional audio device. Voices and ambient noise come through cleanly, making it more than capable for social content and video diaries, even if audiophiles may want external gear for studio-quality sound.
Availability

Both the Blue Breeze and Black Luxe models of the X200 FE can be found on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and authorised retailers including Challenger, Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Popular, and Harvey Norman. You can also find them through local telcos. The phone retails from S$999.
Final thoughts
The Vivo X200 FE shines most in the realm of imaging and intelligent media tools. From its sophisticated front-facing camera with AI night optimisation, to ZEISS-backed triple rear lenses, to smart scene recognition and Micro Movie mode — it empowers creativity without demanding technical know-how.
If photography and effortless content creation are at the heart of your smartphone experience, the Vivo X200 FE is not just an upgrade — it’s the compact flagship to beat.
