Huawei MatePad 11.5: A plus for productivity

Huawei today announced that the Huawei MatePad 11.5 is coming to Singapore. Having seen the introductory video at the Huawei launch event in Bangkok last month, I have to say this device seems to be a very neat one.

With technology and mobile devices so prevalent in office and school settings, the MatePad 11.5 features productivity apps that provide students and general users with the ability to handle work on the go.

Its PaperMatte Display was emphasised during the launch video, offering a true, paper-like writing feel that is soothing to the eyes — ideal for extended note-taking sessions and reading. As someone who uses a Kindle, I can attest that paper-like displays make a huge difference, especially when working long hours.

The tablet’s vibrant display, compact form factor, and advanced pen technology with the Huawei M-Pencil (3rd Generation) make note-taking easy and enjoyable.

Beyond its design, the MatePad 11.5 offers PC-level WPS Office for seamless handling of spreadsheets, presentations, and documents, supported by a detachable keyboard and smart multitasking tools such as floating multi-window. The enhanced Huawei Notes app, with AI handwriting enhancement and creative brushes, enriches the digital note-taking experience — something students will definitely benefit from. Users also have access to a wide range of apps on Huawei’s secure AppGallery.

This puts the MatePad 11.5 well within reach as a creative and productive tool on the go.

For availability, the MatePad 11.5 comes in violet and space gray and retails for S$498.
