Online sales have become the norm. Besides the holiday seasons, e-commerce platforms and merchants have leveraged sales on selective dates each month (eg 8.8, 9.9…)
Some sales appear to be genuine while others look gimmicky. To the unaware, some merchants even jack up their prices and then offer discounts to give the perception of good deals.
But, there’s one deal yesterday (September 9) that really caught my eye. Shopee Singapore offered “99% off breaking deals” at selective times of the day. While it sounded too good to be true, it really was true! And the products were worth shouting about — iWatch, wireless speakers and loads of other household stuff and toiletries.
It’s a case of the fastest fingers to snare the vouchers. From my observation, all the vouchers were snapped up within seconds. What is not known is how many vouchers were available for each product.
The reason that I said this is a true sale and a good one at that is that we took a chance and managed to grab a voucher for a Blackdot wireless speaker with a list price of S$54.99. And we paid just S$0.46 (inclusive of delivery) for it.
This proves that the deal is real. In case you’re wondering, each Shopee account is only entitled to one such offer.
