FHA 2024 – Bigger and Better

Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) 2024 is back at Singapore Expo! This event brings a melting pot of flavours, innovations and networking opportunities for exhibitors and visitors.

Held over four days from April 23 to 26, FHA 2024 has attracted more than 1,500 exhibitors from 52 countries. It stands as the largest trade food show hosted in Singapore and showcases the country’s vibrant diversity and status as a cultural melting pot. The event is expected to attract more than 60,000 local and international visitors across the massive exhibition space of 65,000 square metres (that’s a lot of numbers there).

Officially launched by Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry Ms. Low Yen Ling, and Ian Roberts, Vice President of Informa Markets (Asia), the event started with a bang with a lion and dragon dance as a sign of prosperity for this event.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Low emphasised Singapore’s unwavering commitment to internationalisation and innovation, highlighting these as pivotal areas within the food and hospitality sectors. Her words set the tone for an event that’s deeply rooted in forward-thinking and cross-cultural exchange.

The variety of booths at the Singapore pavilion clearly shows that local companies are expanding their product lines to appeal to international buyers. A delightful chat while sampling ‘maoshanwang’ durian ice cream at the Udders booth revealed how much the Chinese market has come to indulge this flavourful fruit. In response, the company has even increased the durian content in their ice cream to better cater to these tastes!

With 82 international group pavilions, there’s something to taste and explore for everyone. Visitors can also participate in workshops (including tea workshops and tea mixology classes at Hall 2), enjoy the happy hour with free beer at Hall 3, attend cooking demos across many halls, and attend FHA seminars on food safety and sustainable food future seminars.
